Are your products all natural?

I often struggle with this question. All of our products are formulated with all natural ingredients, including but not limited to: essential oils, plant-based oils and butters, beeswax, botanicals, and clays.

From a scientific viewpoint, however, there are some ‘non-natural’ ingredients in our products, and this isn’t a bad thing. The most obvious, and essential, non-natural ingredient is sodium hydroxide which is required for the chemical reaction that makes soap. There is no sodium hydroxide left in the final product, due to the complex reaction and 5-week long cure time.

Are your products plant-based?

All of our soaps are made with only plant-based ingredients. The majority of skincare other products are formulated with beeswax.
